Edit Item

This screen lets you edit the details of an item. The screen has 2 pages: Details and Price History

Details

Item: item name.
Active: "Yes" if item is currently active, "No" otherwise. Only active items are shown when recording new transactions.
Type: item type. The list of available types is defined via Item Types in Setup.
Price: product current default price.
Description: item description.

Price History

Each time the price of the item is changed, the former price and the date when it was changed is automatically recorded by the system. The date to the right of a price is therefore the date until which that price was valid.

The system also lets you edit this information manually, though it should not be necessary except to correct data entry errors:

Click on a line to edit the price-history record via the Edit Price History screen.
Click on the lower right to add a new price-history record via the Edit Price History screen.
